5. Circuit failure.
A problem with the control circuit of the radiator fan is also a common cause of fan failure. For example, for models where the radiator fan is controlled by the engine control unit, there is a 5V power supply line from the control unit to the water temperature sensor. If this line is broken, the control unit will store the information of "coolant temperature sensor failure" and instruct the radiator fan to run normally to protect the engine, but this will cause the fan to run normally. Another common situation is that the plug is loose, resulting in poor contact, causing the fan to not turn or turn and stop from time to time.
6. Engine control unit failure When the internal circuit of the engine control unit fails, causing the power supply, grounding or signal line of the radiator fan to be broken or short-circuited, the fan may also fail to work normally.
7. Thermostat or water pump failure If the thermostat or water pump fails, the water temperature will continue to rise and remain at a high temperature. Continuous high temperature will cause the radiator fan to continue to run at high speed.
8. The radiator fan continues to run after the car is turned off. This is normal in most cases. Most vehicles now have a self-cooling function. After the car is turned off, the cooling system will generally stop working. At this time, the engine temperature has not cooled down. For this reason, the radiator fan will continue to work for a while (the power supply of the radiator fan is directly connected to the battery).
